Shawn has been working in the field of accessibility for over 13 years, and absolutely loves what he does.
One of the things that drew him to accessibility work is the incredible impact that it can have on people’s lives. Having seen firsthand how access to information and resources can make a real difference, he is passionate about making sure that everyone has equal access to information.
In his career, he had the chance to work on a wide range of accessibility projects, from making thousands of documents accessible to providing countless trainings on Section 508, accessibility, and assistive technology. He has also had the privilege of working with students with disabilities as a faculty member and counselor, and has served as a reviewer for online courses, websites, and third-party content.
His expertise extends to specific accessibility matters like captioning, document accessibility,assistive technology, and helping organizations align with accesibility best practices and is eager to share his knowledge with others.
